Safeguarding Training - Children

Safeguarding children is the process of making sure children are protected from harm and ensuring their health and development are promoted. It is about making sure children grow up in a safe environment and taking action where necessary to make sure this happens.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility

It is important that everyone understands that the safety and care of children is their responsibility and that they have the confidence to raise concerns when they occur in an appropriate way when necessary.

At Flair we recognise that certain professions play a significant part in the wider safeguarding system for children. Our courses reflect the important safeguarding roles of those in the Health Care, Education and Social Work sectors in addition to our course for parents and care givers.

Flair’s safeguarding training services are delivered nationwide by highly qualified and experienced practitioners. Courses are also delivered at our main training facility in Hull, East Yorkshire.

Our Training Courses

We offer 5 scheduled safeguarding courses for schools:

• 1 Day Safeguarding Awareness (for new staff)
• 4 Hour Safeguarding Refresher
• 2 Day Designated Safeguarding Lead
• 1 Day Child Positive and Safe Handling
• 1 Day Specialist Safeguarding

The 1-day Specialist Safeguarding Training for Schools Courses deals with specific safeguarding issues for example:

• Preventing Radicalisation – Prevent
• Female Genital Mutilation
• Safeguarding for School Governors
• On-line Safety
• Child Sexual Exploitation
• Child Mental Health and Wellbeing
• Further specialised training is available on request

We offer 2 scheduled courses for Parents or Care Givers:

• 1 Day Safeguarding Awareness
• 4 Hour On-Line and Social Media Safeguarding
