Evac+Chair® is classified as a class I medical device in both the US, where it is approved by the FDA, and Europe, where it conforms to the provisions of the Medical Devices Regulations EU 2017/745, which means it also carries the CE mark.

The Evac+Chair® has also been type-tested through TUV NORD International Gmbh, an independent test-house facility based in Germany, and is manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 and 13485 Quality Management standards.

In an independent clinical study, conducted by the Greenwich University in 2013 for evacuating patients with reduced mobility from hospitals, by trained hospital staff, the Evac+Chair® topped the list as the fastest device.

Operator Training Course

Evac+Chair Training (2-4 persons)

The Operator Training course is a 2.5-hour certificated course, training your staff on how to correctly use the Evac+Chair® in an emergency. Most of the course is practical based, making full use of the Evac+Chair® in every area.

All trainees receive reference and evacuation chair training material. On course completion, all participants that meet the training standards are certificated and deemed competent to use the Evac+Chair®.

Key Trainer Masterclass

Evac+Chair Training (2-4 persons)

The Evac+Chair® Key Trainer Master Class is a 6-hour session (Train the Trainer) course to enable key staff to train other members of staff in the proper use of the Evac+Chair®. It includes all essential elements such as full explanation of latest legislation and approved codes of practice. Most of the course is practical based, making full use of the Evac+Chair® in every area.

All trainees receive reference and training material. On completing the course, all participants that meet the training standards will be awarded a certificate as proof that they are competent in using the Evac+Chair®.

Maintenance

Having your Evac+Chair® serviced regularly, will not only ensure you meet your legal requirement, it will also extend the lifetime of your asset.

Make sure you comply with local regulations

As a Class I Medical Device, your Evac+Chairs® should be regularly serviced and maintained to ensure the safety of your building’s occupiers and maximise the lifetime of your equipment. This requirement is in accordance with PUWER Regulations (Provision and Use of Works Equipment Regulations 1998).

To help clients meet this legal requirement Evac+Chair® offers through Flair Supplies Group a comprehensive 12-month maintenance contract, which ensures your Evac+Chairs® continue to remain fully operational and are ready for any emergency.

The Maintenance Contract includes:

An engineer visit to site.
Undertaking a full inspection of your Evac+Chair®.
Providing a detailed service report for your audit records.

Should you have any cause for concern regarding your Evac+Chair®, your maintenance contract also covers you for an additional call out, and this will not effect your planned preventative service visit.
