Safeguarding Training - Adults

Safeguarding adults is about preventing the risk of significant harm from abuse and exploitation. It is about providing appropriate support that allows people to make informed choices about how they live. Everyone has a part to play in ensuring this takes place for the adults in our care, especially for those who are particularly vulnerable.

The Government has set out a number of principles for safeguarding in health and social care that provide focus to assist understanding. These principles form the basis of our training courses.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility

The safeguarding of adults at risk is the responsibility of all of us.

The Care Act statutory guidance states: Safeguarding means protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. It is about people and organisations working together to prevent and stop both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect.

At Flair we recognise that certain professions play a significant part in the wider adult safeguarding provision. Our courses reflect the important safeguarding roles of those in the Health Care, and Social Work sectors in addition to our courses for family and at home care givers.

Flair’s safeguarding training services are delivered nationwide by highly qualified and experienced practitioners. Courses are also delivered at our main training facility in Hull, East Yorkshire.
